On Monday, March 2, seniors from all nine of AUHSD’s high schools went to a district-wide senior event at Medieval Times in Buena Park.
Students immersed themselves in a time of kings, queens, and knights. During the show, Cypress was represented by the blue knight, who consistently received deafening cheers from students in the crowd. The medieval-themed arena and show engaged many students, each completely engrossed in cheering for their teams’ knights alongside their friends.
Over the course of the show, students were treated to a five-course meal that consisted of chicken legs, garlic bread, as well as dessert, and more delicious food and drink.
Throughout the show, knights and trained horses performed elegant dances, hawks soared overhead, and the knights performed completely awe-inspiring fight scenes. As all six knights executed sword fights, duels, and competitions.
In the finale, victory was claimed by the green knight represented by Kennedy, which ended the amazing show and an exciting night.
Senior, Nikesh Patel, who helped to plan the event, said, “Medieval Times was amazing, just beyond what I expected. The food was great, the entertainment was off the charts, the energy and the entire arena was sick, every school was cheering, and it was really cool.”
