For 18 years Mr. Jon Lundberg has been teaching young students, 18 of those at Cypress High School. As he says, ¨The pay is good, the kids are good, and the administration is good.¨

Lundberg’s  journey through teaching and coaching has gone through many modifications, especially with technology advancing and changing. Computers became smaller and more accessible, far from his old days when he used a chalkboard and a projector. Lundberg said that the main difference from 2004 is, ”More technology. Kids are kids. I don’t think the kids change much.”

After a long time at CHS Lundberg appreciates the “diverse population. We got kids from all races and ethnicities. It’s very nice.” Above all, Lundberg loves to coach wrestling. One of his favorite moments is when student Paul Yoo went to State and placed multiple times.

Lundberg, who once had aspirations of being a professional football player, likes to make mini Viking figures and Viking boat models in his spare time.

Lundberg loves to teach, coach, and be at Cypress, “It’s heaven on earth. Cypress High.”
