Hey Cypress! I’m Klara Jones, and I joined journalism for two reasons: I enjoy talking to people and listening to their stories, and I love the art of writing those stories with my own voice shining through. This year, I’m excited for my last year at high school with my friends. In my free time, you can find me running on the streets of Cypress with my cross-country team or in the library with a comically large stack of books–lately, I’ve been obsessed with Fredrik Backman books that somehow make me sympathize with cranky old people. My secret talent is getting my money’s worth at all-you-can-eat restaurants. I love food: trying new restaurants, making myself avocado toast with everything-but-the-bagel seasoning, digging into ube ice cream on a hot day, and gorging on crunchy green grapes. I look forward to capturing the stories of Cypress High School!
