The trilogy, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle”, has become the no.1 movie in America. Not only that, but it is a global hit amongst other regions. This has made the Demon Slayer franchise skyrocket, making about $550 million since its premiere. “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” aired on July 18, 2025 in Japan and September 12, 2025 in America. The movie has a 4.7 audience rating and a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.
“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” shows the continuation of season 5 ‘Hashira Training Arc’ from the anime series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”. This follows the final battle of Tanjiro Kamado and the members of the Demon Slayer Corps against the demon king, Muzan Kibutsuji in the Infinity Castle. Since the manga’s show adaptation in 2016, this comeback has touched the hearts of many fans as it has been two years since the last movie release “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train”.
“I started watching “Demon Slayer” in 2021 and I found out about it through TikTok,” said freshman Sachika Shrestha. “My favorite part of the movie was seeing Giyu and Tanjiro fight together. I also liked the way they animated the film.”
Natsuki Hanae, the voice actor of Tanjiro Kamado was interviewed on August 4, 2025 by Microsoft Network. “”Demon Slayer” is a narrative centered on the bonds between familyand loved ones,” he explained. “Tanjiro’s words and actions often inspire me…I find myself thinking, ‘If Tanjiro can work that hard, I should push myself more too.’”
Tanjiro Kamado, the protagonist of the series is the boy many anime watchers know and love. The setting of the series all starts when his family gets attacked by demons, but the only one who survived was his sister, Nezuko. From then on throughout the series, it shows the journey of joining the Demon Slayer Corps alongside the Hashiras (skilled sword fighters of the corps) to end Muzan’s reign and find a cure for his demon sister.
This is the start of the final arc of Demon Slayer. Many fans are anticipating the new release of part two that is expected to come out in 2027. The show’s animation budget is likely to hold back the time of release, but from reviews of the earlier films, it is more likely that the next film will be of equal quality.
