Cypress High School hosted its annual Senior Luau on October 8, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:30 P.M., giving the senior class a night of celebration, food, and entertainment.
A variety of activities at the luau made the evening unforgettable. Seniors got to enjoy Kona Ice, a full dinner, and posed for fun photos, while watching talented performances from dancers and band.

The luau atmosphere was filled with decorations and music, which brought a relaxed vibe to the night. Many seniors took advantage of the photobooths to capture memories with close friends.
For Lucas Wang, the night felt extra special. Having helped plan past luaus as part of ASB, this year was the first time he got to experience it from a guest’s perspective. “This luau compares to other senior events, because I’m able to cherish spending time with friends that I probably won’t see as much after high school ends,” Wang said.

Others, like Rayanna Reyna, were surprised at how well organized the event was. “I feel like with other school events, you mostly have to look out for y
ourself with money or food, but this one was very accommodating,” Reyna said. “Hanging out with my friends made it super memorable, as well as the cultural dances!”
Madeline Heffernan shared her experience, saying the luau felt like an opportunity for the Class of 2026 to come together, “It was special because it was with our class, and only seniors, and it was nice just being together.”
As the night came to an end, Wang summed up the feeling shared by many seniors. “This event set the tone for my final year in high school because there are many more fun things to look forward to now that the challenges of junior year are over.”
