Avatar: The Way of Water

The movie, “Avatar: The Way of Water” attracted many viewers after it was released in theaters.

The long-awaited Sci-Fi/Action movie, Avatar: The Way of Water” came out on December 16, 2022. Fans were waiting for the second movie because it took over a decade for it to come out after the first one in 2009. It is three hours and twelve minutes long, sharing the story of the Sully family’s encounters. They go through many ups and downs together to keep everyone safe, without leaving anyone out. This heartfelt movie teared up viewers making them anticipate what was coming next. While some complain that it’s too long, others say the storyline and detailed graphics make up for it. Even if you don’t watch the first movie, it is possible to still be able to understand the script of the second movie. The thrilling plot twists excite the viewers and give them an adrenaline rush. The main characters in the movie were Jake Sully, Kiri Sully, Neytiri, Neteyam, Lo’ak, Spider, Ronal, Tsireya, Tuktirey, and Aonung. 

Some places where the movie is shown are Regal Edwards, Harkins Theaters, CGV Cinemas, AMC, and many more. Online streaming services are also available on Roku, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney Plus with a subscription. It is also reported that it would be included in Disney Plus eventually as well as you can buy/rent the movie on iTunes or Google Play.  

Jake Nguyen, a sophomore at Cypress High School said that it was one of his top movies of 2022. He watched it in December, the day before Christmas at the Westminster Regals Cinema. He said, “It was a great movie. I like how Neytiri always watched over her kids and killed almost everyone when her son died. The movie keeps you on your toes and there is hardly a dry moment.”

Avatar 3 is expected to be released around December 2024.
