Fall Sports Roundup

by Juliana Dubois, Staff Writer

All Fall Sports are coming to an end this year after a great fall season filled with plenty of victories. With only a month left of 2022, many football athletes are excited to be ending this year on a good note after a record breaking undefeated season and a spot in the CIF semifinals.

Varsity Football is undefeated this school year, after winning CIF Round 1 against Highland High. Led by QB Aidan Houston and WR Matthew Morrell, in the semifinals they will play Newport Harbor. Football has already had an epic season!

Before round II of CIF, Volleyball defeated Orange Lutheran, Valencia, Villa Park, Lakewood, and in addition to beating Kennedy overall.  Our Volleyball girls have been undefeated during their season. Well done Centurions!

Cross Country is looking great with this being their fourth year straight in CIF, this year led by new coach Mr. Tweed. League finals will be on November 19.

Girl’s Golf went up against La Habra, Pacifica, San Juan Hills, Los Alamitos, and  defeated them all, including Walnut High with an outstanding score. In girl’s golf, Senior Cristen Legaspi made her way to CIF State and the team has an unbeatable record this fall.

Fall athletes see the end of this season as an opportunity to recover from all their hard work and dedication to their teams. Congratulations to Girls Golf, Girls Volleyball, Cross Country, and our Football Team. Excellent victories Centurions! What a way to end this Fall season of Sports.
