Cypress High School’s boy’s golf team has faced tough competition this season, earning a winning streak of five matches in a row, and season record of 6-4-1, and a league record of 0-1-1.
As the season continues to unfold and league finals get closer, players are eager to build on their momentum, with some of them setting high personal and team goals. “This season I hope I do well in league finals and I hope our team does good in team CIF,” said varsity player Kaiden Desai.

The team has been showing impressive growth as they approach a critical part of the season. Coach Metry has seen significant improvement from the team and is optimistic about the future. “At this point our scores are getting better, we are starting to improve right in time for league finals, so I hope that the boys will have some real success for postseason” she said, “Taylor Reser has put up a lot of low scores, Eric Shin, John Padilla they have really come through with their scores.”
With every player contributing to their growth, they are ready to take on league finals and finish the season strong. With eyes set on individual and team growth, the boys are determined to make their mark in the league finals and push for a successful post-season.
